Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 Aug 2026

Distorted Studio (Shawn) operates AI Models Network. This policy describes what we collect and why. The short version: we run privacy-conscious analytics, we do not use tracking pixels, and we do not sell personal data.

What we collect without an account

  • Page and event counts. Which pages are viewed, which searches run, which outbound links are clicked. We store the path, a coarse device class (mobile / tablet / desktop), the referring site's hostname, and a country code where the hosting platform provides one.
  • What we do not store: IP addresses, tracking cookies, advertising identifiers, browser fingerprints, or any cross-site identifier. Search terms are stored as text without any identifier attached, so they cannot be tied back to a person.
  • Your stack lives in your own browser's local storage until you choose to save it to an account. It is not sent to us before then.

Unique click counts

To count unique outbound clicks without storing who you are, we compute a one-way hash of your IP address and user agent together with a secret and the current date. The hash changes every day, cannot be reversed, and is never linked to an account.

With an account

We store your email address, a hashed password (scrypt — we never see the original), your saved stack, your price alerts, and any listing claim or advertiser records. A session cookie keeps you signed in; it is essential and is not used for tracking.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to The AI Subscription Report we store your email address and the page you subscribed from. Unsubscribe at any time from any issue.

Advertisers

Advertisers see aggregate impression and click counts for their own campaigns. They never receive personal data about who viewed or clicked.

Payments

Sponsorship payments are handled by a third-party payment provider. Card details never reach our servers; we store only the transaction reference, amount and status.

Retention and your rights

Analytics events are aggregate and retained for reporting. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. To request access to or deletion of your data, email [email protected].

Cookies

We set one cookie, and only after you sign in: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies, which is why you are not being shown a consent banner.
